Note: In 酱/醬(𤖕) jiàng ‘paste/sauce’ the component is 爿 qiáng (phonetic), and so 爿 is indirectly phonetic in 将/將; cf. 酱/醬, in which 爿 is as in 戕 ‘kill’, 臧/藏.
