"watch" isn't a very good match for 收视 because
1) "watch" is transitive and 收视 isn't. (See the note in Guifan Cidian's definition.)
2) the scope of "watch" is much wider than that of 收视. (For example, 收视 can't be used to express "watch the sun go down".)
