As a 2nd gloss for the luggage carousel sense, I think 行李转盘 would be much better.

Actually, it seems 圆盘传送带 refers to playground carousel more often than it refers to luggage carousel. (Admittedly, this is quite possibly erroneous usage. It's certainly rare compared to 旋转木马, which has about 4 million Google results.)

Examples:
