The present definition of 成癮 is "addict to". As a verb, "addict" is transitive [1], and it usually has a person as its direct object (Merriam-Webster example: "addicts find it convenient to addict several other persons.") But 成瘾, when used as a verb, is almost always (or perhaps always?) used intransitively (e.g. 可能讓人在不知不覺中成癮。) Richwarm (talk) 22:12, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
