An example [1]
正反疑问句形式:肯定式+否定式?
The affirmative negative question form: Affirmative form + Negative form?
(1) 老师的话你听得懂听不懂?
(2) 你不戴眼镜看得见看不见?
(3) 现在去,晚饭前回得来回不来?
My comment: 听得懂 is an affirmative form and 听不懂 is a negative form. You wouldn't say that 听得懂, for example, is an affirmative status.
Another example [2]
Q: can't的肯定式是什么
A: 你好,很高兴为你解答 can/t=can not 它的肯定式是 can
My comment: A 肯定式 is an expression (such as "can"). An "affirmative status" is not an expression; it's a logical state (i.e. it can be either true or false).
E.g. "In a complex sentence comprised of one or more subclauses, the overt or hidden attitudes between the various entities depend on the factuality projection of the verbs, their polar effects, and the modality and affirmative status (negated or not) of the clauses." [3]
