The Shuōwén Seal form of 载/載(􂡳𨌏) zài ‘ride as passenger; conveyance; carry/load’ combines 车/車(􂠴) chē ‘cart’, and 𢦏(􂍡𢦒) zāi ‘cut/injure’ (phonosemantic).
