The Shuōwén Seal form of 乾(𠄃𠄊) qián/gān combines 倝() qián/gān (phonetic), together with 乙() yǐ (天干); 倝() itself combines 旦() dàn ‘dawn/sunrise’ and 㫃(𣃗) yǎn (phonetic).
