Drawn over 豕 ‘pig’, the bottom 一 line of 立 being also the top line of 豕. The top was originally 辛(􂤿𨐌􀝁䇂) xīn ‘criminal’ (abbreviated).
The Shuōwén Seal form of 豙(􁧯𧱏) yì ‘bristling/enraged/wild boar’ combines 豕(􁧚) shǐ ‘pig/boar’, and 辛(􂤿𨐌􀝁䇂) xīn ‘criminal’ (abbrev.): a criminally ferocious/wild boar, bristling with rage.
“The seal has 豕 a pig 辛 attacking” —Karlgren.
Compare: 毅(􀡬𣫖) yì ‘wrath; firm resolve’, in which 豙(􁧯𧱏) yì (phonosemantic).
Note: In the modern form 豙 the top is abbrev. to a shape like 立, merging the the bottom of 立 into the top of 豕.
