+The Shuōwén Seal form of 位(􁖪) wèi ‘standing/rank/position’ (in the imperial court) combines 亻(人 rén) ‘person’, and 立(􁱢) lì ‘stand’ (phonosemantic); formerly wr. 立 (HDZ).
+	Note: In SW 位 is 㑹意 (not 形声), which as DYC says often implies 亦声; he cites old usage of 立 for 位, and older usage (甲金) is mentioned in HDZ; cf. 莅(􁱣䇐) lì.
