<WL>𠤎 [huà] (古) 化: 变化 change; (component: 𠤎齔𠤜眞𠤛化老𨱗𩵏𨑃𠨷…); (!匕七𠂈)
The character 𠤎(􁙐) huà is a 人(􁕎) rén ‘person’ upside-down (fallen dead: it is said to be the old writing of huà ‘change’, death being the ultimate “change”); in Shuōwén it is a component in various characters, including 辰(􂥳𨑃) chén (in which it represents a man having fallen off a cliff to his death).

The Shuōwén Seal form of 𠤎(􁙐) huà ‘change’ (☳) is the inverse of 人(􁕎) rén ‘standing/east-facing man’ (☶); the poor person upside-down (no longer standing upright) has fallen on hard luck, his luck has changed; later wr. 化(􁙔).
Not to be confused with 匕(􁙕) bǐ (cf. 比), 七(􂤜𠀁) qī ‘seven’, or 十(􀘗) shí ‘ten’ (though in compounds the component may look like 匕 bǐ).
+
Compare: 货/貨(􁄕) huò ‘(exchange/trade/sale) goods; money’, formerly wr. (􁙔), cf. 化.

Note: In SW 𠤎 is a component in various characters, including 辰(􂥳𨑃) chén (☳䷲), in which it represents a man having fallen off a cliff to his death (the ultimate change).

Compare: 辰(􂥳􂥴𠨷) chén ‘thunderbolt/shake/shock’, 震(􁿛) zhèn ‘thunderclap/bolt; shake/shock’ (☳䷲).
 +
Compare: 临/臨(􁙼) lín ‘observe (things, looking down) from above; stoop/condescend’ (䷒).
 +
Compare: 匕(􁙕) bǐ (cf. 比); 七(􂤜𠀁) qī ‘seven’; 十(􀘗) shí ‘ten’.
 +
Note: As a component 𠤎 (huà) is often wr. like 匕 (bǐ), and to a lesser extent conflated with 七/十.
 +
Compare: 真(􁙒眞) zhēn ‘transcendent Daoist immortal’; 颠/顛(􁟻顚) diān ‘top/crown of the head; fall (down/over, head-first); invert; bump/jolt; insane’.
