The character 愈 yù ‘heal/cure’ combines 心 (xīn) ‘heart/feeling’, and 俞(􁝁兪) yú (phonosemantic); formerly wr. 瘉(􁒤).
Don’t confuse 愈 with 愉 yú (as in 愉快 yúkuài ‘happy’), which is composed of the same elements.
